Based on available research, the Savage Model 12 trigger assembly appears to be the same as the Model 110 trigger, with the primary difference being lighter factory pull weights in some configurations. On that basis, the Bix’n Andy trigger should be compatible.
However, due to the wide range of Savage rifle models and variations, we have not been able to test every configuration Savage has to offer. For this reason, we strongly recommend that all trigger installations be performed by a qualified gunsmith to ensure proper fitment, safe operation, and reliable performance.
Additionally, it is important to note that some factory and aftermarket stocks may require minor modification, as the Bix’n Andy trigger housing is wider than the Savage AccuTrigger.
Finally, if a trigger is ordered and found to be incompatible with your rifle, it may be returned for a refund provided it meets the terms and conditions of our return policy.
Years ago I thought I got a smokin’ deal on a 110e in a 308. The price was right, but then i learned about “everything 110e’’ which meant I learned that no one makes anything for the “e”.
Then Bix’n Andy came out with their new Savage trigger, and having numerous Bix’n Andy triggers for Remington and their cones, I was excited to finally get something premium for the budget rifle . . . Nope!
At the Gun Shack they sell part #105080 “Savage 3 position safety thumb piece“. This piece is meant to dove tail into the accu- trigger reciever. In the non-accu- trigger models you either have to modify the reciever OR modify the thumb piece. I modified the thumb piece by removing material on the bottom side so it would fit into the safety slot and traverse appropriately. Then a tiny dab of epoxy on the thumb piece to hold it to the trigger. A little heat on the thumb piece is all that is necessary for disassembly.
I’ll try to attach a photo of modified thumb piece tonight when I get home.
Picture is a little hard to see, but material needs to be removed for it to travel in the safety slot and Material in the back needs to be removed for full travel of the safety button.
I am some what familiar with the Bix & Andy trigger by use on a Rem 700, very nice trigger. For my Savages I’ve been installing the Jard triggers, very smooth, crisp and easy to install and works well when replacing the accu trigger.
Hi @Camrolfe , As Jacob mentioned in an earlier post, if you decide to pull the trigger (pun intended) and get one of these Bix’n Andy triggers for your savage models, we’ll happily provide you with a full refund if you find that they are not compatible.
@rael.harris thank you for your reply. Can you please let me know if I order from Australia, do I need any permits from your end or is it just the B709A from my end? Are these triggers in stock at the moment? I’m chasing the TAC Sport Pro X
@jace.bergeron is our international sales director. Can can certainly help you out with the whole export procedure. To set expectations, with the fact that you live in Australia, it may impact our ability to provide a complete refund (as we may need to navigate the added costs of international shipping fees if you find the trigger is not compatible).
I will make sure that Jace reaches out to you so that the two of you can discuss your options. His email address is jace.bergeron@bulletcentral.com.
