I just had a text conversation with the distributor for Bix & Andy triggers about the Savage Model 12 BR. They stated that the new Bix & Andy savage trigger will drop into that gun. I haven’t purchased it as yet, but now I’m concerned… Will it actually drop in? The Savage Model 12 BR has the safety in the middle of the action, and it is a single-shot rifle with no magazine. Deadly shooter up to 600 yards, which is the farthest I’ve shot it. But the Savage trigger sucks.
Just an update on this thread. I managed to successfully Install this trigger onto a Model 12 FCV with no issues. My action sits in an MDT LSS-XL gen2 and there was no contact between the trigger body and the chassis. Did a slam test with the bolt multiple times and the rubber mallet test hitting the chassis near the trigger and no unintentional firings. Only thing I noticed is when the rifle is un-cocked there is a little bit of play between the trigger body and receiver but this disappears when the rifle is cocked. Looking forward to testing it at the range!
