Continuing the discussion from Setting my Bix’n Andy trigger:
I have an American Rifle Company Coup de Grace action. The rifle was built by Masterpiece Arms and has the TacSport Pro Custom trigger. When opening the bolt after firing (or dry firing) the bolt is extremely heavy. Would improper sear engagement cause heavy bolt lift during cock on open?
Is this something that developed over time, or was it always there?
It’s always been like this.
The sear setting should not cause heavy bolt lift.

you very likely have the wrong sear height. his is causing the cocking piece to “drag heavily” over the top sear of the trigger on the way back. not a good situation. we are the only trigger company that offers different sear heights to address sear engagement. please measure your cocking piece height and procure the correct sear.
