I have 2 older Remington 40XBR rifles and am looking for something to make the bottom of the rear stock straight in line with the barrel bore, like modern BR stocks. Does anyone know of someone making or 3d printing something like this? Could attach with double-sided tape.
Unless you really like those stocks, Protektor is making a nice BR stock that you can pretty much drop a 40x into. If it is a Rimfire, you just have to drill a small divot out for the ejector screw in the bottom of the action. Be warned tho, they advertise a stock with an aluminum bedding block, which is a nice feature but you really need access to a good drill press or a gunsmith with one to put the divot I mentioned in and do a bit if fitting. Revolution makes virtually the same stock as well.
The 40XBR is a single-shot center fire. Mine are 222 and 6br.
Yours should drop right in… if you want a BR type stock I mean. Mine are both 22LR. 40XB. Both of mine are after they switched to the 700 style bolt with the handle swept back a little.
