Split neck bushing

I discovered I have a split bushing (344) for my 308, has anyone experienced this with Redding bushings? I have more than two dozen of their bushings. I have been turning the necks just to clean them up then resize them to have .002” neck tension.

Hi Oldman726,

It’s rare but not impossible for this to happen to any bushing out there. I’d advise replacing the bushing as soon as you can, to maintain consistency.

I’ve already replaced it but do the bushings fall under the Redding warranty?

According to Redding’s T&Cs they say they have a lifetime warranty on their bushings. If you contact them, they will have you send your bushing in. They will inspect and happily replace the bushing if they find it was a defect that caused the split.
